The teacher, wasn't wearing her helmet! You alsocan get on you horse from the righ side...Some instructor welcome learning to get on on BOTH sides. I'm a therapeutic riding instructor, and I don't recommend it to my students. But, as an abled bodied rider, I have learned to get on both sides.
